I do understand that there are many authorities that can easily be relied on in that niche, but very-very few of them are into blogging. Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity that I hate to miss.
7. Problogging is a business and a job that you can take and do anywhere.
I am a WAHD. A Work At Home Dad type. In my previous stint, my job takes me away from home most of the time. One fatal result, of which, is a broken marriage. Problogging allows me to dictate my pace and stay at home most of the time. My son deserves my attention, and he is lucky that he is getting more of it. Or should I say, I am luckier because I get to see him grow.
8. Problogging is both an exciting and a challenging feat.
Need to say more? Nah. You know better than I.
Again, let me reiterate: Problogging is not easy. It is not a a quick-money-making scheme as some try to peddle. It is a new business model that requires good planning, continuous learning, resilience, and most of all an ardent love for giving value to your readers. If you are not willing to invest your time, energy, and give your 101% commitment, you have already failed even before you started.
Here's to your ProBlogging success!

I've only been blogging a couple months, and challenging is a good word if you want to make blogging a career. I don't know that I would quit my day job to become a Problogger, but it would be exciting to have the option and money to start a business that's so mobile. There's a certain freedom associated with not having to go to the office every day.
Blogging is definitely not an overnight success kind of business, that's for sure.
I too currently have a day job in the corporate world and times are generally good for me considering the state of the economy. That's precisely why I started to blog with the intent to learn as much as possible about the business model and how to make it a full time business. It's definitely not a "get rich quick" endevour, but it is something that I'm passionate about and enjoy. I figure with that as a foundation, success will be much easier to achieve. My ultimate goal is to control my own destiny and work for myself.
Blog, is the most work intensive, slow rewarding hobby i've ever done. But, ever time I get a comment it make the work worth it. I have also improved my writing/proofreading due to blogging. I can see why blogging is more fun then corp world.
You hang in there! There are alot of ex-corporate folks out here that are trying to learn this blog arena. Keep on typing... :)
@ mikey
You can always keep the day job and blog for money at the same time. And if you think an online business like problogging can double your regular paycheck in a given time, it's worth the risks.
@ marty
I support you on that.
@ drBurst
It is indeed more fun than corporate day to day affairs minus the office politics. ^^
@ Linda
Yeah. Many thanks
I'm a wannabe and so far I see it as a great way to make money after I retire. So far I can't see that it will earn me as much as my current job, but then again who knows?
