Is a SEO Skill necessary for Internet Marketers and Professional Bloggers?

9.24.2008
I am really a newbie in Internet Marketing. But I am very eager to learn all the rudiments it entails to master the essentials to get results. Since I am doing the bulk of my work at home being a freelance management consultant, I have more time online.

It’s more than a year now since I started blogging on a professional level, although I must say I haven’t reached the ‘professional level’ yet. I am moving towards there. I have almost learned all the basics of problogging, but mastery is most desirable.

If there is one technical skill that is necessary in internet marketing and professional blogging, that would be SEO or Search Engine Optimization. Unless you do not want traffic, you’d probably think that this is a waste of time and let the geeks handle it. You’re dead wrong! For if you are a small business owner who invested on on online marketing or blogging for a living, then you should know at least the basics behind effective SEO.

A car stalled in the middle of the street is almost useless, so is a website or blog that is not SEO friendly. While more and more internet users are joining and are active social networking communities, search engines are still the most used internet tools in the net. People are always in a hurry to find what they are looking for hence when they open the browser, they head immediately for the search tab. In fact, literally hundreds of millions are doing that as I write this post. Would you not care to have a tiny-weeny slice of that?

If however you are not really interested in learning SEO then get a professional like iMajestic to help you with your SEO. They offer pure performance based and aggressive organic SEO. The best part of what they offer is you get to pay them only when you get your desired results.

No doubt, SEO is necessary in problogging, internet marketing or online business. More importantly, a professional blogger and internet marketer must at least be able knowledgeable about it to be more effective.
