"Management is nothing more than motivating other people." --Lee IacoccaI wish that were so.
Management is both a science and an art. It is not easy. You need to have the required sets of people and leadership skills before you can effectively manage. Each organization is unique, and its members are complex. Although I believe that you can always learn along the way. This blog is about what I have learned, and continue to learn as I manage People, Projects, and Processes.
Although this blog focuses on Human Resource and Business Management practices, the tone will always be personal. The articles here are my personal notes gained from my hands-on experience as an HRM Practitioner, a newbie Entrepreneur, and a Freelance Management Consultant.
I will not pontificate.
What I will be sharing or advocating are recommendatory in nature. They worked for me, and I am hoping that they will do the same for you. However, I understand that some of these business practices and management principles may not be applicable in your context; hence, please exercise discretion.
There are also articles and excerpts from other sources, of which acknowledgments were made and/or cited. If any of your articles were published here which you deemed to infringe any copyright laws, kindly email me, and I will gladly remove them from our archives.
Lastly, this blog is also a chronicle of my ‘calculated’ leap of fate, from the major business league into the minor business league -Freelance Consulting. This means my posts will be very personal in nature. (Aren’t all blogs like that, by the way?) Thus, in the end, this blog is not only an attempt to share what I have learned from the corporate world, but including my ‘ups and downs’ in my other business ventures and freelancing career. I invite you on an open dialogue here, and see what we can learn from each other.
